information Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! The Four Houses is set in the Harry Potter universe, though of course is an alternate timeline. Harry Potter and friends are not known people in this world, and Voldemort was not a threat. However, Dark Wizards are still abound, and there is the looming, ominous threat of a council of witches and wizards on the horizon. Where else would the likes of Maleficent, Jafar, Oogie Boogie, the Other Mother, and their "allies" fit in? Your current headmaster at Hogwarts is none other than Mickey Mouse, having inherited the position from his mentor Walt Disney. Headmaster Disney's portrait, however, is often about to offer advice and assistance to the students of Hogwarts, regardless of which house they've been sorted into. Classes are both in session and numerous. They are not exclusive to those listed here, as you can create subjects for characters to teach (so long as they fit the character and the setting!), and there are of course other roles for adults in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. The hospital wing is in need of medics, and there is a distinct need of caretakers for the castle and the grounds. Additionally, ghosts are still just as welcome to the halls as they are in the original universe. Aside from classes, students will be able to enjoy Quidditch, duelling, and many other clubs that they themselves can found and join. There are also an infinite number of celebrations to be had throughout the year, from holidays to events associated with houses and their accomplishments. Pets are not explicitly limited to owls, rats, frogs, and cats, although it is preferable that they are not large animals. If they're too big to keep in the dormitories, then you will have to have permission from Headmaster Mouse to have them on the grounds. The Great Hall is, of course, as it is found in-series. Meals are served from 7 AM to 9 AM, 11 AM to 1 PM, and 6 PM to 8 PM, unless an event has been planned, and thus the times will be announced separately. Curfew is 10 PM, and you are expected to be back in your common room at this time. Classes are held throughout the day. Please keep in mind that animagi are legally required to register with their information, and that metamorphmagi are uncommon. Both are allowed in the Four Houses, but take care that unregistered animagi not get caught by the wrong person (lest they suffer the consequences) and metamorphmagi remain uncommon (they are allowed if it is plausible for the character in question). Sorting your characters into houses and deciding their wands is entirely up to the players. We leave it in your hands! There is, unfortunately, nothing we can do if your character does not get along with their dormmates. Please ask before you assume your character has a time-turner or a similar artifact found in the Harry Potter universe. Communicating in the Four Houses is done on a "magical network," as technological devices are not known to work on school grounds. This is accomplished by enchanted journals, and these entries go to thefourhouses, with voice and text posts, as well as [ action ] posts if you so desire. theloghouses is available for writing logs, both in prose and in action brackets.
